Cards for commission

At this year's comic con, I was given a rather complicated commission by a nice young gentleman: a series of three family in-jokes. Since I didn't know how many more commissions I'd get that day, I said I'd like to take them home and tackle them there.

When I started thinking about them, I knew I wanted them to have a very illustrative quality, so I sat down in Illustrator and got to work on a vector version. To add a "painted" quality I added brushed strokes to the linework - it gave it a great organic feel.

They look great printed on good watercolour stock, but here's the full versions below:
